Columbus, GA

The Columbus, Georgia region encompasses much more than the city of Columbus. Columbus is Georgia’s fifth largest metropolitan statistical area. The Consolidated Government of Columbus serves both the city of Columbus and Muscogee County. The consolidated government establishes a single countywide government with powers and jurisdiction throughout the territorial limits of Muscogee County.

Additionally, it is important to note that many economic and workforce development issues are addressed by the Valley Partnership, which is a multi‐governmental entity created by local governments from the cities of West Point and Manchester, Georgia and Phenix City, Alabama and the Georgia counties of Chattahoochee, Harris, Marion, Muscogee, Talbot and Taylor.
